WebShare, My first innovation at Chitkara as the inhouse developed intranet website using open source technology, is a two way interaction facility between faculty and students for dissemination of knowledge.

I use to deliver OpenOfficeImpress presentations prepared on my Fedora Laptop in my lectures. I always encourage my students to listen attentively and discuss the content of lecture being delivered rather then merely jotting down the notes. The difficulty of concentrating simultaneously on learning and jotting down lectures notes raised the need of a centraliszed tool which should provide all the course-ware and other useful study material. I discussed the idea with HOD and Director Academics. Timely acceptance and support provided by them speed up the process of its developement and implementation within a short span of time and its beta version for Computer Sci. & Engg. Department is launched on 15th July, 2007.

The beta version was highly appreciated by the students and raised the demand for its expansion for all the engineering departments. The Collective efforts by State-of-Art IT infrastrucutre maintianed efficiently by the team lead by Mr. Pawan Mehta, Faculty, feedback of students and many others make it a success. I am grateful to all the contributors and last but not least the valuable appreciation and feedback by the students as listed below.

the webshare indeed will be a very useful page for the students of
chitkara.beacuse all the information not only regarding the subjects but
also other small little useful information like notice board,time
table,software to download and the telephone number of varous deppt and
lecturers are given..which are indeed a useful information other than the
daily curricula.

u have done a very good job. its really nice and the downloading speed is
also very nice. it wud be much better if u upload more softwares and sir

Hello Sir,
It's a recommendable work in the field of education....I personally feel

I think its worth to implement this Chitkara webshare, so that all the
student can access their course materials and ATS online. I would suggest that it should be uploaded to chitakara official site sothat we can also access it from our homes or anywhere else.
